- To use your Bible. If you don't have a Bible, we can get you one! All of Pastor Kenny's sermons are expository, meaning they focus on the explanation and application of one Biblical text. Even though all Biblical texts are presented on a screen, references are made throughout the message to specific verses or ideas found in the text. You'll receive the greatest benefit if you bring your Bible and take notes!
- To see people dressed both formally and casually. Suits and ties are not required, though some people wear them. We ask that all people dress in an inoffensive manner, but wear what is comfortable for you.
- To be free to carry your burdens in the door. The idea that you leave your problems outside of the church is a bad one. Church is the place where you honestly deal with your problems and allow God to provide true healing.
- To need a servant's heart. We need servants. There is always room for new ideas, new workers, new teachers, new musicians, and new evangelists.
- To be asked to join us on Sunday and Wednesday nights. We have in depth discussions of practical theology, history, and current events on Sunday nights. We have in depth Bible studies on Wednesday nights. You're missing out on some wonderful opportunities for growth if you don't come.
- To find a party somewhere on the schedule. Author Rob Bell said that Christians won't win souls until we throw better parties. We have something to celebrate. Let's celebrate!
- To be involved in missions. We have missionaries in India, Nepal, and Mongolia. We support Hepzibah Children's Home in Georgia. More involvement is always needed.
- To hear a variety of musical styles. We sing hymns and Gospel song. We used compact discs. We play contemporary songs on the guitar. As soon as we have people, we'll have a full praise band. The church has the commitment to meet as many musical preferences as possible. You won't find worship wars here!
- To have the opportunity to be transformed. Max Lucado wrote that God loves you just the way you are, but He doesn't want to keep you that way. Romans 12:2 tells us to be transformed by the renewing of your mind. God will change your life, if you're willing!
- To be welcome and accepted. Regardless of what you've done or who you are, you're welcome here. We all need Jesus. You can meet Him here. God has a wonderful way of putting incredible treasure in jars of clay. He also takes our brokenness and makes us whole.
- To be in a church that is doctrinally orthodox. Many people assume, since we are a small denomination, that we are a fringe group. We aren't. We are a Methodist denomination that believes that God is Father, Son, and Spirit, that salvation is by faith alone, that the Bible is the error-free Word of God, and that God calls us to a life of holiness and faith. The Bible is the basis of all teaching with an emphasis on accurate explanation and application.
